What an exciting week it has been. Good exciting. Wednesday I had that appointment with the foot Dr. to see about the diabetic shoes. Oh, no! Not a chance! What he brought were mens work shoes. Heavy black oxfords. I walked out less than 5 minutes later. I don't do ugly! I told him I would never wear something like that and left. So..... I call my driver and someone at a gas station picks up and tells me my driver has left her phone, and would I let her know. How am I supposed to do that? Luckily another driver from the same company was picking up at the same building, so he took me home.
Now to the really good stuff.
I found my brother, Roger. It has been 45 years since I saw him. He came to our father's funeral and I rode back to San Diego with him and my stepmother. He was in the Navy at the time. What a grand trip we had. We had a wonderful long talk on the phone. I discovered I have 5 nephews and several grands as well. He is living just half an hours drive from my son, so I called Erik and we had a great talk. He had forgotten about his uncle, but was happy to know he was so close. Here's the fun part. Roger has kept in touch with our older sister Jackie and he gave me her address. I also have a younger sister Jackie from my mother's side of my family. Both are good Christian ladys and both are married to men named Ralph. What are the odds of that happening? I bless my Fairy Godmother for giving me such an interesting life.
